I love curry!!! I had never eaten curry until I lived in Northern Ireland. You may or may not know but there are a lot of east indian people in the UK, (I hope that's not a racially incentive thing to say...if so, my apologies) so there are many indian restaurants and much curry influence. There was a very nice restaurant in the town I lived in called Kamal Mahal. Most of my friends and students celebrated special occasions there. As I was invited to these events I was able to partake of some amazing food. It became a priority of mine to eat curry as much as possible. One of my favorite things was Curry Chips (which is fries with a curry gravy) or if I was feeling saucy I would order Curry Chips with Cheese (curry poutine)....they don't do poutine over there so I had to say it that way or they wouldn't understand. When I came back to Canada (Saskatoon) I realized that there wern't many indian restaurants and the ones we had were expensive....so I had to learn to cook curry. I learned to make some basic curry items and it is a staple of my diet now. Today I have the chance to broaden some other peoples horizons and share the experience of curry. I offered to cook the staff at church a curry lunch. I know some of them haven't been brave enough in the past to try curry so this is their chance. I hope I successfully create an awesome curry experience. If anyone out there wants to have a curry dinner let me know....

I want, I want! Do I have to come there or will you come to us? Ya, I'm well over the curry aversion!
