Life without a TV has been strange. You don't realize how much TV plays a part in day to day life until it's gone. Even when we didn't watch it at home it was always on....sort of background noise. There's also the times after supper when one just wants to relax and zone out by flicking on the TV...both Nevada and I aren't sure how to veg without a TV to look at. I wouldn't say life has been better or worse just different. We've spent a lot of time biking/walking around the neighborhood instead of staying in. We will be getting a TV as soon as we can...apparently if we put the word out to the parents at the school we'll probably get one from someone who is upgrading. So we wait........I have made up for the lack of TV by watching a ton of DVDs (on the computer): Lemony Snickets, The Insider, Angela's Ashes, Die Another Day, Paycheck, The Jacket, Johnson Family Vacation, The Incredibles, Dr. Strangelove, The Aviator and I think a couple more that I've lost track of.....it's been super fun and I've re-ignited my love for the movies. I was captivated last night by my latest rental, I watched the first 8 hours of the TV show "24"...someone recommended it to me at home and so I'm watching it on DVD. I pulled one of my famous all-nighters because I just had to keep seeing what happened next. I think I'll go rent the second DVD today...peace out and see you at the movies!!!

I, too, watched the INCREDIABLES, but in French with English subtitles.
What did you think of Angela's Ashes? This was filmed in Limmerick. You should follow up the movie by reading Frank McCourt's book of his teaching adventures once he arrived in New York. I can't think of the title right now. I read it though and probably own it. MOM

Hey, good movie choices! I agree with your mom about the book for Angela's Ashes, it's really good. I think 24 is one of the best shows, I'm watching season 3 right now and it's hard not to watch them all in a row. Enjoy!
