Blogust & Everything After

Quite a few thoughts today but I'm not sure how many I'll drop right now being that it's 4 am.

First thing is that I've been back in the nocturnal lifestyle. I stay up until 3, 4 or 5 and then sleep until about noon. It's ok but in Taiwan the sun goes down at 6 everyday all year so if you get up at noon and laze around a bit by the time you go outside at like 2 or 3 you only have a couple hours of day left. Sucks. This schedule will change soon cuz I'm starting a new job and I'll be going to a local university to study Chinese.

Secondly, I got a new job. I quit my two teaching jobs before our trip to Bali because of different reasons. This week a friend from church hooked me up with a local girl named Alexis andshe hooked me up with a job. I will be doing studio recording for english learning software. This company makes "learn at home" english materials and they needed an english voice, now that's me. The cool thing about it is that I don't have to deal with little kids anymore and it also pays really well. The average teacher pay is 600/hr, this job is paying 800/hr. Sweet.

Thirdly, what ever happened to REM. I just had an REM inkling this week. I got to thinking that I haven't heard much from them in awhile. Basically ever since Michael Stipe got AIDS. I think he has AIDs. Can anyone confirm that? Anyways, tonight I downloaded a bunch of REM and burned my first CD using our sort of new desktop computer. So now I'm listening to some REM. Great stuff. Great Band. And Great Live Show.

Fourthly, I'm loving my wife more and more these days. We're at a great stage in our relationship and it makes each day fun. We've both accepted each other and everything that comes with that. Now we just have fun cuddling and laughing.
