Today something pretty crazy happened. I got into the shower and was waiting for the water to get warm, when all of a sudden I started to wobble. I wondered if I was sick and about to pass out. I quickly got out of the shower and as I looked around I noticed that everything was moving. WOW!! Earthquake!!! It freaked me out and maybe I felt even more vulnerable because I was completely naked. I put a towel on and went into the living room to share the experience with our roommate Jen. We have some wind chimes on the wall and they were jingling and an ornament fell off the Christmas tree. After about 20 seconds it stopped but we were both sort of buzzing with fear and excitement. I can’t imagine the power it must take to move building back and forth but it’s impressive and intimidating. It’s days like this that I’m gonna miss in Canada.
** This is an add-on to the above post. That earthquake was a 6.6 on the richter scale at its center. When it made it to our city it was a 4.2. So it was a biggie….
