Not sure if you guys know this or not but I don’t really like living in Saskatoon. I like the big city life and Saskatoon is a little small for me. It’s a beautiful place and relatively safe but it just lacks some of the action and buzz that a big city generates. That being said I did have a “Saskatoon moment” today. I was walking across the U of S campus and it was a nice moderately cold temperature, snow was falling, the trees smelled great and I thought to myself “This is a place I like to be.” I’m pretty sure that my wife and I will settle here because of the importance of family, friends and church community but sometimes I struggle with that. We have made an agreement to do a whole lot of traveling and maybe spending long stints out of country but this will always be home. The point of today’s post is that I have moments every so often that clarify my belonging in Saskatoon…..No matter how far I push it away it always sucks me back in….
