It's good ol' midterm week. I can't really complain cuz I only have one real test and a hand in midterm. There are two ways that I've noticed people approach this week. One way is the aniticipation/lazy way...a lot of people are walking around here talking about their plans for the break and not really focussing on the work at hand. They're dreaming of various holidays and debaucheries. Many even ditch early and make arrangements to do tests early or late or hand-in assignments late etc. I suppose as long as your academics don't suffer that attitude is fine but really we have a week of holidays not two. Then there are the super stressed out people. This week of midterms is the be all and end all of life for now. These are mostly younger students. It's sort of funny because midterms although important are not really the make or break of your acedemic year. I've always thought that tests aren't worth the stress that they give some people. People need to enjoy some coffee, read their notes and go into it confidently. None of this all nighter business and study groups and internet research etc. etc. No wonder they're freaking out. Anyways...it's just a good week for people watching.....oh ya...and studying.
