Last weekend we took a group of thirty kids to YC. It was a good experience but the paked schedule and the dreary weather of the weekend took its toll on me. I've been exhausted all week and I had a pretty nasty cold for the first half of the week. I didn't feel like doing much especially concentrating to blog. The highlight for me was the worship. United from Hillsongs Church in Australia led us an they were awesome. It's always special to be a part of a ginormous corporate worship time and they really do rock. I came home and bought their CDs. I recommend it to people looking for a new vibe outside of the UK worship scene (Delirious, Matt Redman).

Today our hot and sunny weather changed to a rainy, cold, thunderstormy type weather. I love it. It reminds me of my favorite place, Northern Ireland. It's like this 90% of the year over there. Plus it forces everyone to cover up and as a fat person I love an excuse to wear more clothes. It's perfect weather or staying inside and watching Game 1 of the NBA playoffs. I know most people out there are wrapped up in the Flames run at the cup but for me it's Laker time. Karl Malone and Gary Payton are about to get their first rings and Kobe is about to collect his first finals MVP. I'm not disrespecting the Pistons. I think they are a great team that will test the Lakers but after 6 or 7 games the Lakers will come away as champs. I'm scared of Chauncey Billups and Rasheed Wallace. Like I've said before the Lakers aren't so good against talented point guards. As far as Sheed goes, he always comes to play against the Lakers. I'm sure the Portland/LA rivalry is still fresh in his mind. My prediction for tonight is LA 101- Detroit 89.
