I'm listening to game 6 of the NBA Finals right now on internet radio..it sounds really exciting. I also just finished watching the highlights from game 5 and I can't believe old man Horry is still getting it done. That guy is a total winner, wherever he goes he wins rings. That 21 point in 18 mins performance is unbelievable. He even threw down a monster dunk with his left hand....maybe the Lakers should've kept him. Speaking of the Lakers...I'm pretty excited that Phil Jackson is back. Now they need to make a trade and draft a good player at the 10th spot. I'm hopeful they'll be back in the playoffs in no time. I think it was a good chance for Kobe to realize he can't do it alone.

China update: I was in bed sick all day yesterday. It's just a plain old cold but I felt like crap...headache, runny nose, sneezing, coughing. My friend Rob gave me some Tylenol Cold and Flu medicine so I'm feeling better today. The next few days are dedicated to individual research projects. I've chosen to take a look at the English teaching scene here in Shenyang. I've found that the level of English in Chinas is much worse than in Taiwan so I want to find out what they are doing differently and why it's not working. This morning I sat in on an english class at the university. It was strictly for grad students. Their level of english was poor...they gave speeches and the teacher did some story telling about a trip she took to Africa. I'll let you know my findings when I've observed at some other locations.

With one week left I'm getting excited to come home. This trip has been stressful in a lot of ways. Travelling with a group is tough...I'm used to doing these types of travelling experiences independently. I'm also excited to get some Canadian food...when we were in Taiwan we ate western food almost everyday but our professor here has insisted that we eat local food...it's good but I can't eat it three meals a day. I'm also super excited to spend time with friends and family before we leave for Taiwan. If you want to hook up with me and nevada drop me an e-mail or leave a comment and we'll try our best to get together...
