Mayday....mayday!!

I was just in the kitchen and found two emergencies. I'm out of coffee and I'm out of Louisiana Hot Sauce. These are two staple items in my regular diet. I've been done the coffee for a couple of days now...so why don't I just go get some new coffee? Cuz I like Hazelnut coffee and although there is coffee everywhere here flavoured coffee is much more difficult to find. I want to get the good stuff from Costco but we haven't made the trek out there in a while. Today I might have to visit Starbucks. Wait a sec..stream of conciousness kicking in....in Taiwan they don't have egg nog...lame...so the Starbucks' don't have egg nog lattes...I really want one today....yummmy yummy egg nog. Ok back to my problems. The second item missing is the Louisiana Hot Sauce. This is even trickier cuz I brought it from Canada. I have recently put an order in with my mom but the whole process takes time. She has to buy it, wrap it up, go to the post office and then I have to wait for it to get here. I guess I have to live with bland food for a few weeks. I guess I'll have to drink the healthy juice and eat the healthy vegetables in our fridge....

Maybe this will help....

Egg Nog Recipe
(http://www.christmas-celebrations.com/articles/egg_nog.htm)

1 egg
1/4 C. sugar
2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg

Put the egg in a bowl and beat until fluffy. Add the milk, sugar, salt and vanilla. Beat mixture until blended. Sprinkle nutmeg over the top. Chill & serve.

Double the recipe for more servings. To add more flavor, you can add cinnamon, rum, whipped cream, or grated chocolate.

it is on its way, but the cost is great so eat it slowly. Try using red pepper flakes in food for a substitute.
