LAX-->Calgary

Thanks to a friend of ours in Taipei we were able to spend our stop over night at the Sheraton Gateway hotel. It was gorgeous and just what a body needed after an 11 hour plane ride. We got to swim, lay in the hot tub, watch some English TV and sleep in this huge bed. In the morning we worked out, went for a swim and read the paper poolside...and Nevada picked me up a coffee from the Starbucks in the lobby. Good times! Then we packed up and headed back to the airport. LAX has a reputation of being really busy and often inefficient but we were there on a good day. Lines were short and security was a breeze. We were off to Calgary. Nevada's sister picked us up and brought us to her place for a wonderful BBQ dinner. It was so tasty...a year without BBQ was forgotten in one bite. Then the jetlag kicked in and I fell asleep about 7:30. It is now 3:40 a.m. and I am awake blogging. I'm looking forward to the end of this drawn out journey. We'll be leaving here after lunch and arriving in Saskatoon around 9:00...see you soon!!!
