Up Late

A few cups of coffee and some upside down hours has me up at 2:30 am. I used to feel in the zone at this hour of the day but with my new life as a father I haven't been so much into the late nights. The time zone change will wear off soon and I'll be on a normal Saskatchewan schedule.

We made it home safe and sound Monday night. I have to say that it was the worst travel day ever. Not because of the baby but the flight route and total travel hours. It was a 28 hour day with very little sleep. I will book earlier next time to ensure we can get the most direct route. We've been home for a day now...visited with all the new grandparents, hungout with Tom and Erin and tonight even saw the hard to find Ted. It's been good so far. The big thing on this week's schedule is my 10 year High School Reunion. I'm MCing the program and I'm nervous, I used to be funny and outgoing but these days I'm a more introverted and not so spontaneously funny. You could say I've mellowed out (or grown up). It should be fun though to be in a room full of so many people that represent such great memories. I'll update soon as I wind down and start having some more interesting thoughts rather than just life updates.

I bet as soon as you walk in to the school the old craziness will kick in. Old habits die hard. Looking forward to a glass of wine in the back yard with you.

Hey Chester! I'm glad you are in S'toon and that your travels were safe. I was talking to my Grandpa yesterday and he was listing off all the people who he prays for everyday. I just thought it would be nice to let you know that he prays for you and Nevada everyday in Taiwan, and that he still considers you to be a strong leader and representative of our church here in Saskatoon. He prays for all the leaders no matter where they are in the world. That and along with about 150 other people :) I just though it might be nice to know that. Hope to see you soon!
