Blogust & Everything After

Ok so I haven't blogged in forever. I've bee really busy. Some of you may or may not know that I am coming home in about a week so I've had lots of things to do in regards to that. And as far as computer time goes I've been trying to put together a website so that you guys can see some pictures of our life in Taiwan.

I'm not sure if I've talked about this before but it's funny and I was reminded of it today. As English teachers we often get the chance to give children English names and today I saw the girl who I gave the first name to. I called her Clarice after the heroine from "Silence Of The Lambs". It was subtle enough, I don't think I'll ever be able to pull off calling a kid Hannibal. I would love to hear some names that you would give and why. If you have a good suggestion I'll use it. Just think you are naming a completely stranger Taiwanese kid for the rest of their English life. It's kind of a fun "reality game".

Tomorrow will see the Lakers advance to the second round of the playoffs yet again. I realize some of you thought that this was the year that Kevin Garnett would finally carry his team through but it's not gonna happen. Although I will conceed my vote to him as the regular season MVP, he is a great all around player and deserves the credit plus Kobe had three rings so that's enough credit for him. Not to mention the gold medal he will get in 2004.
