Well midterm week is over and I did quite well. My conversation class teacher said that I got an A and today our writing class teacher corrected the exams in class and I got a 97%. So that’s good news. I’m really diggin my stint in Chinese school. Although it’s a difficult language everyday I feel I learn something new and I’m closer to understanding the structure of this very unique language. I’m excited to come home and practice with Karen (the Taiwanese student that lives at my mom’s). Hopefully she’ll be patient with me and help me to retain what little Chinese I know.

I’m writing this as I sit in a the “Pig and Whistle” (a British style pub). I’m watching the Canada vs. New Zealand rugby game. It’s a blowout as can be expected but it’s still nice to see the red and white represent. They played 0-0 ball for the first twenty mins and then NZ opened it up and are miles ahead. I really like the game of rugby. I think I’m going to work hard to get in decent shape this year so that I can have an impact in rugby at home. Because Canada isn’t really competitive I’ve had to adopt another rugby nation. Of course because of my time in N.Ireland my team of choice is Ireland. I was fortunate enough to see a couple of international matches in Dublin and now my heart is with the green and white. They are ranked something like third going into this current World Cup so they have a chance at winning. They opened impressively over Romania and my fav player KeithWood (a bald fat guy) scored a beauty try. Enough blogging for now…I gotta get back to the game. I’m also enjoyed one of the best pints of Guiness I have ever had.
