Blogust & Everything After

I just finished “Life of Pi”. It was a good read. The daily physical and mental struggles of Pi make for an adventure that I hope I never have to take on. It has been compared to the modern classic “Old Man and the Sea” by Hemmingway. I read that book in high school and it bored me out of my mind but I wonder if I were to read it today maybe I would enjoy it. I think I’ll stay away from man on a boat books for a while and stick to some new stuff. My wife recently bought me “War and Peace”, I might start that one soon but I’m sure it’ll take me a year. In the meantime I’ll chip away at my latest Roddy Doyle book “Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha”. He’s my favorite author by the way….you should check his books out. Good Irish fun….
