I had a comment asking how last night's youth went. I would say it went really well. We had a spectacular band put together for worship: Todd, Matt, Ryan, and newcomer Nathan. It was a lot more put together than it has been in the past and that made a difference. Many of the kids were singing and some kids even came up to me after and said we should have more singing. Then one of the leaders got up and shared her story...it was a powerful tale of her life and her spiritual journey. It was an intense story that included abuse, rape, drugs, homlessness etc. I did my best to tie in some Bible verses about Forgiveness to compliment this amazing testimony. We have some kids that needed to hear her story and to hear that there's a light at the end of the dark tunnel. Something that needs mentioning is that the kids were very respectful and paid attention during the whole night. If you've talked to me about Thursdays before you know that this isn't always the case. In summary: God was worshipped, the kids were ministered to and it just felt right...
