Back to the grind

Just to clarify I haven't been neglecting the blog, I've just been out of town for a while. Nevada had the week off because of Taiwan's Independence day as well as the end of the academic quarter. As you know I was in Kaohsiung early in the week and then Nevada and I, along with our friends Andy and Audrey as well as Andy's brother Jason, went on a little trip to Hualien. Hualien is a city on the east coast famous for it's beautiful coastal view and it's proximity to Taroko Gorge which is Taiwan's premiere natural site...much like Banff. (but without the snow and the skiing) The highlight was the day trip to the Hualien Ocean Park...it's like a Sea World/DIsneyland type place. It was pretty fun and quite well done for a Taiwanese establishment. I'm always a fan of the sealion show...c'mon they played basketball and volleyball...and they're animals....from the sea. It's good to be home though and have things back to normal. I start a new job Monday night. I'll be teaching conversational English to a group of employees at a computer company. I've never taught adults so I'm a bit intimidated but I think it'll be neat to be in an environment where the students want to be there and want to learn. I'll let you know how that goes. I'm also back to Chinese class after missing a week....not looking forward to that...we do a lot of reading and writing and I am gonna be way behind. I'm doing my best to cram tonight but its not gonna work. I think I will try to make ammends with some coffee for the whole class.

I would like to acknowledge a new reader...Loaf...thanks for tuning in and sorry for not commenting on your Huskieness...Loaf is a great guy and plays his ass off for the Huskies...unfortunately I'm subscribed to the Star Phoenix online and they only mention the big time stat getters.
