Even my closet is losing weight

I did something yesterday that has been in the works for a while; I threw out most of my fat clothes. I'm no skinny guy these days but I have dropped enough that some clothes just don't fit anymore. I had a few XXXL things kicking around as well as some XXL that weren't me anymore. One big thing is that in the waist I've gone from a 42/44 to a 38 and on the way to 36. So some old jeans and shorts were not necessary anymore. Altogether I threw out about 30 pieces of clothing. (I should clarify. I didn't throw them out in the garbage. I put them in a local government drop off bin so they can be enjoyed by someone who needs them.) There were a few reasons I got rid of this stuff but one of the biggest is that it's an encouragement to keep it off. I don't want to go back to being that other me. I want to stay active and I think I really do like fruits and vegetables. Ultimately I don't want to have a heart-attack by 40 so I need to keep at it.

Good for you, Chester! I know a couple of other men who need to be thinking that way, too...
