Daddy's little girl

During the summer Gemma was glued to mommy. They went everywhere together and did everything together. So much so that I got scared about the inevitable return to the stay-home-dad role and how Gemma was going to react. Praise God that she has been awesome this past week. As long as Gemma wakes up and sees that I'm the only one around she remains a happy little girl. Our routine has been wake up, play for an hour, go back to sleep for an hour, get up, play and eat, then nap again. That brings us to noon when mommy comes home for a midday feed. Daddy gets a little break and then we start the afternoon. That usually means play until 1:30 then have another nap. Then play until mommy gets home at 3:15. So far it's a lot of napping but I think that has a lot to do with adjusting to the time zone. In the next few months we'll try to add more and more outings. Trips to the park, the grocery store, Starbucks, the zoo etc. Not to mention hanging out in the new parts of Nevada's school...the library has wonderful new carpet that Gemma would love to walk around on. I can't wait until she can walk and talk and then we can really become buddies.
