Thoughts on Kobe

I've been hearing a lot of Kobe criticism lately and it's been bugging me. He's a fantastic player and perhaps the best in the league. People say "he takes too many shots", "he's selfish" blah blah blah....but let's look at the stats of the last three games:

Jan.6 vs. Phil-48 points(7-7 3pts), 10 rebs, 2 ast, 2 stl
Jan.7 vs. LAC-50 points(7-15 3pts), 8 rebs, 8 ast, 1 stl
Jan.9 vs. Ind-45 points, 10 rebs, 5 ast, 1 stl.

Those are huge numbers...undeniable...sure he took a lot of shots but he scored a lot of points...and most importantly...THEY WON ALL 3 GAMES. Isn't his job to help the team win? He's doing a great job, and with his rag-tag team he has to assert himself as the star. If he has to take 100 shots a game for them to win then so be it. People are so focused on his shot attempts maybe they need to acknowledge the other stats...in those 3 games he's averaging 9.3 rebs, 5 asts, 1.3 stls...those are all great numbers. When will people give the kid a break and give him credit as one of the games best?
