Attack of the Teppanyaki

I've recently hit that point in my life where I'm too old to eat the things I used to. As an average teenage/university boy I loved to put away a plate of burn your face off wings almost once a week. There was some sort of beauty in the pain and I seemed to be immune to the day after problems. I also used to love heaping jalepenos on my nachos. With very little reprecutions...this is no longer the case. I still throw down some spicy food here and there but now I pay...and I pay dearly. The trotts can kick in within about a half hour. Tonight we went for teppanyaki, which is that Japanese stir fry where they cook it up on the grill right in front of you. They asked if I wanted mine spicy or not...I usually go with "a little", this time I forgot and just answered "spicy? yes". This guy didn't hold back and neither did the tears when I started chowing down. The tears rolled, the nose ran and the mouth burnt and the efforts of several glasses of watered down Tang-like juice were futile. Now that I'm home there have been other consequences. I guess I'm not as young and iron stomached as I used to be. Can anyone else relate?

I have no idea what you went through, as my stomch churns at the thought of spicy food. But I think Ryan can relate a bit. I'm not sure if he can't handle it, or if he just doesn't like it the way he used to...you'd have to ask him.

And I had the attack of the Costco Chicken Fingers today. They were obviously coated with soya.

I'm finding I can't eat sugery stuff as much anymore. I can't remember the last time I ate a whole chocolate bar, or one of those Eglish Toffee cappucinos from Tim Hortons, WAY too sweet, they turn my stomach. I hate getting older sometimes.
